This page is for bug reports, questions about how the tool behaves, and notices about content that should not be here. There is no support desk and no ticket system — messages go straight to the person who maintains the tool.

Reporting a problem

A report that can be acted on usually contains five things:

• the browser and its version, and whether you were on a desktop or a phone;
• the kind of image — a phone photo, a screenshot, a scan, a downloaded picture;
• roughly how large it was, and its file format;
• what you were trying to do — erase lettering, replace it, or add text over image content that already had lettering in it;
• what you expected to see, and what you saw instead. A screenshot of the result is worth more than a paragraph describing it.

Please do not attach the original image if it contains anything personal, a face, a document, a plate number or an address. A crop of the affected area is normally enough.

Common questions

Can you do the edit for me? No, and it is not necessary — the tool does the whole job in your browser in under a minute, and doing it yourself means the image never leaves your machine. If the result looks wrong, send a description of what happened and it can usually be improved.

Can I ask for a feature? Yes. Say what you are trying to achieve rather than which button to add, and it will be considered. Requests are not a commitment.

Can I report a copyright or privacy problem? Yes, and it will be treated as a priority. Note that this site stores nothing and hosts no user images, so there is no content to take down here — but the report is still worth sending.

How long does a reply take? There is no guaranteed response time. This is a small project, and replies are sent when there is something useful to say. Detailed reports are read first.
